Deborah also serves as President of BGLAD, Inc., a tax preparation and accounting firm she has led for over 23 years.

Her professional credentials include Series 7, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses, a Life and Health Insurance License, the LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow) designation, Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC) certification, and participation in the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP).

Dr. Ashley Podhradsky serves as Vice President for Research and Economic Development at Dakota State University, where she leads initiatives that advance research, innovation, and cybersecurity partnerships. A nationally recognized cybersecurity leader, she has helped secure more than $26 million in competitive research funding while expanding workforce development and applied technology programs that benefit South Dakota and beyond.

Dr. Podhradsky co-founded CybHER®, a nationally recognized initiative inspiring young people to pursue careers in cybersecurity, and has led efforts such as Secure SD and the Digital Forensics for Cyber Enforcement Lab to strengthen cybersecurity across the region. She also serves on the boards of First Bank & Trust and SD Biotech and was appointed to South Dakota's Governor's Resilience and Infrastructure Task Force.

A frequent national speaker on cybersecurity, innovation, and workforce development, Dr. Podhradsky has received numerous honors, including recognition as a New America Cybersecurity Fellow, an AAAS IF/THEN Ambassador, and one of the Smithsonian's "IF/THEN Collection" women in STEM. She is a three-time graduate of Dakota State University.

Senator Marion Michael “Mike” Rounds

On January 6th, 2015, Senator Marion Michael “Mike” Rounds was sworn into the United States Senate. Senator Rounds serves on five committees: Senate Appropriations; Senate Armed Services; Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs; Indian Affairs; and the Select Committee on Intelligence. Rounds previously served as the 31st governor of South Dakota from 2003 – 2011. From 1991 to 2000, he was elected five times to the South Dakota State Senate. In 1995, his colleagues selected him to serve as Senate Majority Leader, a position that he held for six years. During his time in state government, Rounds was committed to growing the economy, keeping taxes low and strengthening South Dakota families. A lifelong South Dakotan, Senator Rounds was born in Huron, the eldest of 11 children. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from South Dakota State University. In the private sector, Rounds built a successful insurance and real estate business with offices throughout the state. He resides in Fort Pierre and is the proud parent of four grown children and 11 grandchildren.
